In alignment with the “Ten AI Initiatives,” the “Asia Silicon Valley-Major League IoT” officially transitioned into the AI & IoT Alliance in October 2025. The Alliance’s operations and development are now jointly driven by its Secretariat in partnership with the Asia Silicon Valley & AI Strategy Agency. Originally founded in 2016 by enterprises including Acer, MediaTek, and Advantech, the former “Asia Silicon Valley-Major League IoT” featured Acer founder Mr. Stan Shih as its Honorary Chairman, maintaining a long-term commitment to cross-domain exchange and public-private-academic collaboration within the IoT industry.

Guided by the three core pillars of the “Ten AI Initiatives”—Smart Applications, Critical Technologies, and Digital Foundation, and in respondse to international trends and industrial demands, the Alliance has restructured its working groups into three Special Interest Groups (SIGs): AI Hardware Infrastructure, AI Software Critical Technologies, and AI Smart Applications. Its membership encompasses large corporations, SMEs, industry associations, research institutes, academic institutions, and startups, covering the entire AI value chain, including chip and hardware R&D manufacturers, AI algorithm and platform developers, data and system integration service providers, and application-end enterprises in sectors such as smart manufacturing, smart transportation, and smart cities. Combined with the participation of research institutions and academic units, the Alliance currently includes over 500 members.
